Our Kiez
Stay with us and you're right in the thick of it, in a quarter as colourful and full of life as few others in Wilhelmshaven. And the best of it is right on your doorstep.
A quarter with history
The Südstadt is one of Wilhelmshaven's oldest quarters, built long ago as housing for the navy's workers. Its grand old imperial-era architecture still shapes the neighbourhood today. And these days it's above all one thing: alive. Cafés, little shops, restaurants and culture, history you can reach out and touch and a thoroughly modern buzz, all close together.
Good neighbours
Eat, drink, take your time, most of it is an easy walk away. A few favourites of ours in the quarter:
All on foot
You won't need a car here. Landmarks, the beach, museums and harbour cruises are all right on the doorstep.
Kaiser-Wilhelm-Brücke
The city's landmark, just a short stroll away.
Südstrand & Promenade
Beach and promenade run for miles right along the Jadebusen.
Wadden Sea
The visitor centre has something for young and old alike.
Marinemuseum
Hands-on history, right by the harbour.
Aquarium Wilhelmshaven
An underwater world on the Südstrand, perfect for families.
Harbour cruises
The city looks its best from the water.
